  1. Culture affects laws. As time passes, so does culture, this then prompts laws do adapt. We can see this with the 19th & the 13th Amendments. Giving women the vote and emancipating slavery are things that seemed crazy two hundred years ago, and yet now we see those two things as a reality.- Oriana F.

  4. In my opinion, laws affect culture. I think laws affect culture because culture is something that is like a tradition. Or culture can be a practice that someone/ or a group of people might do. And depending on the law, that determines whether they can participate in their culture or not.

  6. Laws do affect culture cause the culture is what makes people the way we are. Laws should be based on the culture and think about what they are going to effect. culture drives people to continue to obey the laws as long as it doesn't effect their culture. - Cesar Funes

  9. Culture affects laws because our laws change as culture changes. People used to take peoples hands off and that was law. That was the culture back then; our culture today is anti-violence so we don't that anymore

  10. I think that culture affects laws because because laws depend upon people's interest and behavioral traits, which is interrelated to culture. Since people essentially make the laws, the laws depend on the culture and characteristics of the place. For example, if the culture in a place is to do something that can be harmful then there must be laws that pertain to it.

  13. I believe that laws affect culture and culture affects laws. The completely normal livelihood of a society can be changed easily by a couple of laws. Yet, laws themselves could change based on a change in how that society spends their days.

  14. Culture affects laws. Before laws were invented in the U.S, we had a cultural system that then dictated the kind of laws that were made. As we change culturally, we make new precedents, such as in the case of Roe. V. Wade. Achal Patel
