Implied Consent

Under "implied consent" laws in all states, when they apply for a driver's license, motorists give consent to field sobriety tests and chemical tests to determine impairment. -

What does Implied Consent mean?  Where else do we see implied consent laws in our daily lives?

  6. Implied consent is a a metaphorical contract that you agree to by doing a certain action. This is shown in school by having connected to the WiFi, or logging in to the computer you agree to having your actions monitored.

Implied consent is also given in medical cases through Good Samaritan Laws. It's implied that when a person is unconscious, that medical personnel have that person's consent to provide medical care.

  9. Implied consent means to give consent non-verbally. Nothing is really stated but it's assumed that you're giving permission for somethings just by taking part in an action. Implied consent is practiced when, using the school computers, driving, etc.

  10. Implied constant is when you grant permission without a formal agreement, as students we see implied consent when we come to school everyday we consent to having our web history searched if logged on to school wifi

  11. Implied Consent is consent that is not given directly to the government but is granted implicitly. It is granted through actions or things that have been said. We see implied consent. We use implied consent when we get our Drivers license by agreeing to take a breathalyzer and pull over for police officers.

  12. Implied Consent is not verbally expressed or written, but is implied based on the persons actions, speech or the situation. An example of implied consent are if in a medical emergency it is implied you can help the person if they are unable to give explicit consent.

  16. Implied consent is the policy that when you perform an action, you automatically agree to abide to any consequences or checks associated with the action. For example, if you fall unconscious, you automatically consent to getting medical attention with implied consent.

  17. Implied consent is consent which is not expressly granted by a person, but rather implicitly granted by a person's actions and the facts and circumstances of a particular situation. We see this at school on the computer screen it gives you a warning.

  19. Implied consent is indirect agreements granted by a person. They are assumed procedures that are taken without the verbal or direct communication. You can see implied consent in state of emergency: someone stops breathing and you perform CPR.

  21. It is when you consent to something automatically based of your actions. This happens when you log onto LCPS computers you can subject to losing your privacy.
